Miss Heather Luklanchuk

Miss Luklanchuk, our very wonderful and faith-filled teacher, began teaching with us in the Fall of 2012. Miss. Luklanchuk has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State AND an Elementary Education Certification along with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marywood University. She was born and raised locally and attended parochial schools from grade 1-12. She brings a happy smile and lots of energy to our school and we are so very blessed by God to have her as our teacher! 

Mrs. Maryellen Darling, Teacher

Mrs. Darling joined the Academy staff for the 2017-18 school year and brings amazing experience, teaching talent, and just plain energy to our school.  She has BA Elementary Ed degree  from Houghton College, NY, and her Master's Degree from East Stroudsburg University with a Reading Specialist certification with a concentration in Special Education.  She raises three children in Clarks Summit with her husband Eric.  She has many joys in life, but her Christian faith is the most important.

Mr. Carsten Bjornstad, 
Music Instructor

Mr. Bjornstad joined the Academy in the 2015-16 school year, bringing with him over 40 years of teaching experience and qualifications both in the United States and abroad. He is an accomplished musician in several instruments, but especially the keyboard and organ. He has a BA from the University of Jamestown in ND, and a Master of Arts in Music from the University of Minnesota.  He also earned a Licentiate  in Piano Teaching from the Royal School of Music in London, England.

Rev. Kristian Bjornstad, Pastor & Religion Teacher

Pastor Bjornstad, Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, is the Academy's Pastor, fill in music instructor, "tech guy", and "whatever else needs to be done" fellow. Pastor Bjornstad has ministered in Scranton with his wife Monica for more than fifteen years. He has four daughters, three of whom were blessed by an Academy education..
