Miss Heather Luklanchuk
Principal/Teacher

Miss Luklanchuk, our very wonderful and faith-filled teacher, began teaching with us in the Fall of 2012. Miss. Luklanchuk has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State AND an Elementary Education Certification along with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marywood University. She was born and raised locally and attended parochial schools from grade 1-12. She brings a happy smile and lots of energy to our school and we are so very blessed by God to have her as our teacher! 

Mrs. Jessica Canjar, Teacher

Mrs. Canjar joins our teaching staff in the 2015-16 academic year. She is from the Scranton area, is married and thrilled with being mother to a daughter and newborn son! She has a PA Certificate in Elementary Education, having graduated from Marywood University.  She also has just completed a Masters Degree in Middle Level Education with a concentration in Math from Wilkes University.

Mr. Carsten Bjornstad, 
Music Instructor

Mr. Bjornstad joined the Academy in the 2015-16 school year, bringing with him over 40 years of teaching experience and qualifications both in the United States and abroad. He is an accomplished musician in several instruments, but especially the keyboard and organ. He has a BA from the University of Jamestown in ND, and a Master of Arts in Music from the University of Minnesota.  He also earned a Licentiate  in Piano Teaching from the Royal School of Music in London, England.

Rev. Kristian Bjornstad, Pastor & Religion Teacher

Pastor Bjornstad, Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, is the Academy's Pastor, fill in music instructor, "tech guy", and "whatever else needs to be done" fellow. Pastor Bjornstad has ministered in Scranton with his wife Monica for more than fifteen years. He has four daughters, three of whom were blessed by an Academy education..
