Ascension Day Service

For several years now, St. Stephen's Lutheran Church has been inviting the Academy to sing and play for the joint Ascension Day worship service held there. The kids were very excited to share their music and they did an absolutely WONDERFUL JOB! God has truly blessed them in so many ways! Here pictured is the little rehearsal before the service with our Choir Director Ginger Daubenhauser directing them. Praise God!

Nursing Home Visit

On Monday, April 2, 2012, our Academy kids all piled into the van and spent a beautiful afternoon with the residents of the Scranton Health Care Center. We were able to share the message of Holy Week with the residents and definitely lift their spirits with lots of singing led by our Choir Director Ginger Daubenhauser! We even played our chimes for them!

Mother's Against Drunk Driving Memorial Vigil

The Academy was privileged to be chosen to sing at the Mother's Against Drunk Driving vigil December 5th at the downtown Wells Fargo bank. The choir sang at the reception before the vigil, during the vigil, and also at the conclusion of the presentation ceremony of the student poster contest sponsored by MADD. The kids did an awesome job and everyone was very pleased! Thank you Ginger Daubenhauser, our Choir Director, for doing such a great job preparing the kids! And thank you to Sharyn Martucci for arranging all the details for us to participate in this event!

Fifth Academic Year begins!

Our Fifth Academic Year is under way and we are so blessed by God with a beautiful student body! Everything is working so very smoothly and our teachers and students are so very happy!

Renovations Finished!

We praise God for all that he has done this past summer!

We have installed new lighting, walls, LCD projector, whiteboard, huge and beautiful bookshelves, and rearranged the dividers. The results are fabulous!

Academy Renovation Begins!

The renovation of the Academy facilities have begun! We are looking forward to having many improvements for this Fall's start of the FIFTH academic year of The Lutheran Academy! Included in the renovation are new sheet rock all around, brand new lighting, huge and gorgeous bookshelves, and paint all around! We hope to have new LCD projector as well as a new computer! We ALSO need help paying for all of this! Please support us!

Lori Mandile accepts teaching position

On July 2nd Mrs. Lori Mandile officially accepted a teaching position at the Academy. It will be such a pleasure to have her join the teaching staff! Mrs. Mandile is the wife of Rev. Anthony Mandile, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Scranton. She was educated as an elementary teacher in New York and taught in a Lutheran School on Long Island until she started her family and home-schooled her children for many years. We are very excited to have her as part of our teaching team at the Academy!
